This compelling design came to me while I was taking a nap one afternoon. I woke up seeing this in my minds eye. I  had no intention of designing a table, but it was a wonderful vision. So I got up and modeled it on my computer and this is the outcome.

This design languished in my computer for about 10 years because I could not figure a way to make it. I showed it to several ironworkers I know but they were stumpped. Then I asked Tom Moore, an ironworker friend to lunch to brainstorm how to make it. Together we came up with a plan.

Table base is made from intertwined steel bands.

Table base supports up to a 48" top 1/2" thick
