Nimbus Cloud: a steel pedestal base table
This table represents the status quo for sustainable design in our industry today. In short, there is no real progress toward sustainability. Even though the plate steel base and the steel tube column have a fairly high recycle content, the carbon footprint of steel, even when recycled, is far higher than other materials that would be perfectly appropriate for the job. So if you still need to buy a table like this, please buy ours. Nimbus base is powder coated steel. Standard colors are black and silver. Inquire about other color options, though additional costs may apply. Tops are either FSC certified Ash, or Birch; Exposed wood laminated edges match our seating. Surfaces can be faced with plastic laminate or linoleum. Earth friendly adhesives are used. Table qualifies for LEED points. Made in USA
