Notice the front leg extends beyond the rocker arc. This modest detail solves the problems inherent with rocking type chairs: it assures stability when entering and exiting the chair, and discourages over zealous rocking and going over backward.
I envision this chair to be used anywhere lounge or casual seating is appropriate; libraries, offices, lobbies, hospitals and homes.
For those who are interested in a little more cushy seat or have sanitary issues, we are working on a padded seat cover, which will be washable, and easy to install and remove. The padding will be felt, have a high post consumer recycled content, and will be designed to use COM fabrics.
